Understanding External Hemorrhoids
Sometimes you may feel irritation and swelling in or near your anus opening that is related with a condition described as hemorrhoids. This is not supposed to be a painful or fatal condition but quite often can lead to a lot of discomfort and psychological problems. One of the types of hemorrhoids is the external hemorrhoids. This occurs because of the varicose vein which inflates and inflames causing it to sag below the dentate line. Although it may seem concealed from view at times, it still is present in most cases.
The external signs are that of irritation and swelling. Sometimes a watery discharge may also be left and the opening of the anus blocked by this outgrowth. Treatment is intense for such cases and can often require hospitalization for a complete recovery. Chances of a relapse are high with this sort of hemorrhoid if all the tissues affected are not treated properly at once during surgery.
