The BBC has now confirmed the schedule for the Big Read.

• End March: 90 minute BBC2 programme to kick everything off, with 100 celebrities talking about their best loved novel.
• End March-mid April: two week voting period, where anyone can vote for their best loved novel
• Mid April: the public's 100 best loved books announced
• April-November: reader development activity
• November-December: top ten books announced; two programmes a week with well known advocates explaining why their book choice should win
• December: Britain's best loved book announced.
