A Touch Of Mischief

The titles chosen for this sampler all have an element of mischief about them - but that is where the similarity ends. In some cases, this refers to 'acts of mischief' which trigger other events - rather like the falling domino effect. In others, it highlights authors like Iain Banks (Complicity) and Irving Welsh (Trainspotting) who deliberately use contentious material such as murder, drugs, swearing, and lots of speech in dialect in their books to tell their tale and to provoke a reaction in their readers.
