Well Worth Reading

Well Worth Reading is a library based agency with a mission to expand people's reading horizons. It produces a range of resources to promote reading to adults and young people, underpinned by training and new ideas. It also runs reader development initiatives in partnership with other sectors. The agency plays a national role in raising the standards of libraries' reader development work, and in sharing good practice.

Launchpad

LaunchPad is a new library development agency. Its mission is to highlight the importance of libraries' work with children, and build new partnerships between libraries and other sectors.

It is a unique organisation involving professionals from the library and marketing worlds working alongside each other to develop a long term communications strategy focusing on libraries and children.

The main library organisations involved as LAUNCHPAD partners are The Library Association, the Society of Chief Librarians and the Association of Senior Children's & Education Librarians (ASCEL).

The Reading Partnership

The Reading Partnership is a new agency whose mission is to promote public libraries and their work with adult readers through partnerships, projects, advocacy and policy development.

The Reading Partnership is now supported by the Arts Council of England, the Society of Chief Librarians and The Library Association. Its finances are administered by Birmingham Libraries.
