The publisher partner claimed
to be 'very glad to have got involved, it has helped enormously for
us to better understand the library market', and they also suggested
that 'both sides in this partnership have learned a great deal in
a very short space of time.'
The team from the National
Library for the Blind found the project work to be 'very collaborative
and constructive. The librarians I have met have been very enthusiastic
and committed.'
When I asked the representative
from the NLB whether the project would be sustained, she said:
'Yes, this approach
is embedded in the organisation in the post of reader advice manager,
in our stock selection and management policies, in staff trainingÂ…'.
