Practical training for frontline staff

Training for frontline staff must be practical, relevant and often of short duration to be of use in the library service.  This doesn't mean it must be boring.  Or that frontline staff cannot be involved in important debates.  Staff on the ground are the public face readers encounter.  Make sure you invest in their development.
