Here at Oldham we use stock from our shelves rather than dedicated Reader Group sets.

We find this more cost effective although this can put restrictions on the material we use since, if it is popular, we can't get hold of the stock.

The stock manager is usually happy to order additional copies if we only have a few copies in stock to make up the numbers. These can then be allocated to a library once the group has used them.

We have also recently subscribed to Harper Collins Book of the Month and intend to use these sets for readers groups before allocating them to libraries.
