As your rollout develops, so the role of co-ordinator may change.  Their responsibilities will include maintaining a well informed and supported network of supervisors, and ensuring that the quality of learning and supervision is maintained.  In a large authority, this may need time.  Once the co-ordinator has developed a network of supervisors, they may step back from regular supervision of trainees in order to fulfil a more strategic role.
