North Tyneside decided to establish a collection of best selling titles to be based at the Central library.  Items in the collection are available for 7-day loan only, non-renewable and exempt from the requests system.  The collection will consist of between 200 and 250 titles.

Criteria used for selection are:

• current best-selling titles from national lists (fiction and non-fiction)
• recent titles by very popular authors
• older titles which remain evergreen favourites

Monthly purchases of new titles keep the collection current.
